We believe commodity intelligence is oversupplied, overpriced and misdesigned.

Real intelligence is efficient; it is non-excessive. It does not bring about unnecessary cost. We make artificial intelligence that organises itself to be as efficient as possible.

Our vision of intelligence organises itself, designing and implementing its own task-relevant structure, according to a principle of efficient minimality. Extant commodity intelligence is not built to do this.

True general intelligence would achieve this efficiency by:

• understanding its problems and how best to allocate its resources.
• training focused, efficient specialist modules and effectively handing off work to them.
• sedimenting intelligence as durable infrastructure.
• continually learning in response to evolving workloads and, if required, reworking its own structure.

We build this, and call it "minimal, self-organising intelligence".
